At the beginning of November Saksa Automaatika OÜ bought the automation division of Ektaco to enlarge its portfolio of industrial automation solutions and services and strengthen its market share in some fields of industry.
Ats Alupere, Management Board Member of Saksa Automaatika, said that the company has significantly invested in growth and digitalization services, in order to be aspiring and challenging enterprise for the youth and experienced engineers. „ Saksa Automaatika will take over complete automation business unit from Ektaco, together with its know-how, ongoing contracts, and liabilities to guarantee that the ongoing activities and services are continued by Saksa Automaatika without any stoppages,“ added Mr Alupere.
„Ektaco has decided to sell one of its three business units to Saksa Automaatika to focus on the development, sales, and services of its two core businesses, which are point of sale and access control systems,” said Kaido Jelle, CEO of Ektaco.
Saksa Automaatika engineering office was established in 2009 and is providing industrial automation solutions and service to industrial, energy, and infrastructure industries. Siemens has been the main supply and technology partner for the company. Saksa Automaatika is certified Solution Partner to Siemens AG in the field of automation and drives and its employees have combined experience over 25 years with Siemens automation products and technology.
Ektaco is the leading point of sale and access control system developer in Estonia with nearly 30 years of experiences. Ektaco’s products and services are used in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and from 2018 also in United Arab of Emirates.
Ektaco is the Alliance Partner within Schneider Corporation and a Siemens certified sales partner in Estonia. Ektaco industrial automation unit has done a lot of automation projects to major companies in Estonia, e.g. Estonian Energy Narva Power Plants, Oil and Mining sector, heating companies, and in many other industrial branches.
Parties from both side believe that the acquisition of automation unit from Ektaco to Saksa Automaatika will strengthen companies’ core business.
