Baltic Restaurants operates as a caterer in nearly a hundred catering establishments across Estonia. In recent years, CompuCash cash register system solutions have been gradually introduced.
The CompuCash cash register system was also implemented on four ferry ships traveling between Hiiumaa and Saaremaa, where Baltic Restaurants manages dining places called “Take Off.” The important factor in choosing the CompuCash cash register system was a good self-service cash register solution, which allowed solving service bottlenecks caused by the short travel time, especially on the Saaremaa line.
CompuCash offers an easy-to-use and modernly designed self-service cash register system. The CompuCash self-service cash register allows the correct identification of goods in several ways.
Baltic Restaurants uses scales integrated with the cash register in buffet sales at self-service cash registers, where the correct quantity is obtained through the scale interface upon selecting the goods.
Video surveillance enabling integration with the CompuCash cash register system also works over WiFi, where later cabling would have been difficult on the ship.
In total, nearly 20 cash registers are in use on four ferries, of which 10 have a self-service mode.
All ships share a common cash register system database, allowing centralized real-time overview and management.
